Review ~ Rose of Thorne by Mia Michelle

When a drunk driver tragically orphans Skylar Rose at the young age of sixteen, she leaves her dreams behind and takes on the daunting task of helping her elderly grandmother raise her young sister. While other girls her age were living a typical carefree life, she was picking up double shifts at a local cafĂ© and struggling to pay the bills.

Always putting her sister’s needs and school first, Skylar has never had time to date or develop intimate relationships. Now a senior in college, she has her sights set on an amazing internship opportunity. The last thing she needed was for a sexy distraction like Sebastian Thorne to walk into her life.

Sebastian Thorne had been an entitled and reckless nineteen year old when he got behind the wheel of his new sports car that night. When his night of indulgence goes tragically wrong, Sebastian hesitantly turns to the one person, he knows can make everything go away… The one person he hates… his father.

Now twenty-six, Sebastian is the young enigmatic and powerful CEO of his late father’s design company, Thorne Enterprises. With both millions in the bank and a new woman on his arm almost every night, the world never knew the dark secret he carried inside. Still plagued with nightmares from the night of that horrific accident and having to leave the beautiful girl behind, Sebastian vows to find the one that haunts his dreams.

Sometimes the choice of revisiting our past opens the door to a future that we never thought possible.

But what do you do when the person who gave you back your life, was the very one that took it from you in the first place?

~~~Feisty Girls Review~~~
~~~Joni’s Review~~

I will do my best to break it down without any spoilers.

Starting out with present day, you really get a feel for the way Skylar and Sebastian live their life after such a terrible tragedy seven years ago. Then you get to live that night with them both.

Fate seems to bring them back together time and time again. And even knowing what I knew about Sebastian, I absolutely loved him. I felt like these two people could heal each other. That they needed one another to survive all that life has thrown at them.

Sebastian isn’t the only man that has captured Skylar’s attention. There is also Lucas Drake.

There are so many secrets they are both hiding to protect the other. Secrets that could tear them apart. When all comes out into the open will they be able to pick up the pieces of their shattered hearts.

I loved all the different POV’s. I always knew what was going on with all the characters.

From the first page I was hooked. Sucked right into this story and help there until the very end. There is so much I want to say but can’t without taking the chance on ruining this absolutely terrific book for you.

IT IS A MUST READ!!

5 GIGANTIC STARS!!!

~Meli’s Review~

Ok, first off I have to say that this book gripped me from literally the first page.

We meet Skylar on her 16th birthday. While out celebrating her entire life is shattered in one instant. She learned from that day its better to hold everything in and protect the ones around her.

Sebastian holds his on secrets. He is haunted by what happened 7 years ago everynight. Every night he sees those amazing eyes staring back at him.

When Sebastian and Skykar meet for the first time I can completely feel their chemistry from the moment they lay eyes on eachother.

As they begin to feel something for eachother their past come back in play and tear them apart. And of course Sebastian isnt the only man trying to win Skylar's heart.

Can these two overcome their paths and find their way to each other or will their secrets keep them apart forever.

All I have to say is I could not put this book down. I was literally in tears just reading the prologue.  And sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Mia did an excellent job with making me feel their emotions and everything that they went through. I can not wait to continue their journey.

Completely and amazingly 5 stars

We would give Rose of Thorne all the stars in the sky if we could. We loved it that much!!
