“Not yet,” he says pushing me back down. “Fast or slow?”

“Fast,” I answer.

He slowly slides the tip of his cock into me, teasing me. Sometimes, I forget how big he is. He continues at a gentle pace, picking up speed as my body adjusts to him. Oh, man. He pulls me farther off the bar and starts pumping faster and faster. One hand is squeezing my bum, the other playing with my nipples. He knows exactly what I like. Oh, baby.

“You do know that you’re ten minutes late, right? That’s your time, not mine” I told him.
“Your time starts when I say it does, Miss Stevens” I hoped to God that he was joking. My eyes skimmed down to his lips as he smiled at me, taking in how soft and inviting they looked; nervously I chewed on my own as I followed him in to the classroom. He’d picked up my art folder and my bag and carried them in for me, landing them on the desk in front of his where I napped the day before. “Wow, what the hell do you have in that thing?” he asked when he put my bag down.
“Erm… Text books, water, keys, art stuff, my diary, mail sack of love letters, three changes of shoes, the kitchen sink.” I smiled sweetly at him.
“You keep a diary? And have enough admirers to need an entire mail sack?” He looked at me shocked.
“Why? Do you want to read it?” I smirked at him “and sadly not in regards to the mail sack… I have a special truck for those.” I grinned.
“ha-ha. I don’t know, it depends if there is anything about me in it?” he winked at me and sat down at his desk.
“You are on every page.” I sighed dreamily at him. Well he would be if I really had one. I was blushing again; I wish I could control that. I sat down at the desk and tried to avoid his gaze.
“And what do you say about me?” He enquired as he looked down over a student’s work.
“How much of an arse you are.”

Her world changes forever when she meets Aiden O’Connell, the billionaire son of Alistair O’Connell, who owns Mornington Vale’s largest financial incorporation. Aiden is an up and coming young businessman, who's ready to take on the Vice Presidency in his father’s incorporation.   He's focused on the business, and life for Aiden involves working hard and not much else. Aiden is the good son, and Alistair wants nothing more than for Aiden to succeed and follow in his footsteps, it’s imperative to him.
After the accident Aiden finds Jeni irresistible, and pursues her instantly, and with some coaxing she eventually agrees to a date.  It becomes apparent that they are very attracted to one another.
Jeni finds love quickly with Aiden, but trusting him is another issue.  Trust is a major factor, and the question of when to give it can be asked of us in many different ways.  Jeni is asked this question, when she finds out that Aiden is being investigated for a serious crime.  Jeni’s trust issues spark, as she goes through a journey of self-discovery.
She must decide once and for all whether she trusts the man she loves, when she’s asked the ultimate question:
“Do you trust me?”
This is book one in a series of three.  Book two "Love Me?" coming soon.
I exhale. “I have major trust issues with men. My dad left before I was born. My ex… well, he cheated and left me. I can’t just trust that you are who you say you are. I mean how do I know that you won’t treat me the same way?”
He sighs. “Trust issues, huh? I can work with that.” He smiles, lightening the mood. “Let’s take this one day at a time. I don’t plan on hurting you. I don’t think I ever could. Trust is a big thing. It has to be earned. I’ll do my time until you trust me. I’m not planning on going anywhere. I don’t know about you, but for me, there is something here, and I’m willing to wait and work at it to find out what that is. That’s if you want to?”
I can’t help but smile. “I think there’s something here as well, and with time, I’m sure I’ll trust you.”
“I can live with that.”
“Wow! That got serious real quick,” I say, laughing. He nods in agreement. “Aiden,” I say softly.
“Yes, Jeni?”
“Kiss me!”

“I have access to a private office suite on this floor,” he said, his voice even and businesslike.  “Private bathroom, too, which should also have some better facial soap available.  You can clean up, take a breather, whatever you need to do.  Follow me.”  Without waiting for Miranda’s reply, the man took her by the hand and gently led her across the lobby.  Before Miranda knew what hit her, she was whisked into a small, luxurious office, complete with leather-on-mahogany furniture, Oriental rugs, and a six-foot-high decorative fountain.
“The bathroom’s over there,” the man said, pointing to a doorway just to the right of the fountain.  “If there’s anything else I can get for you, let me know.”
“Umm,” Miranda mumbled again, and made a beeline for the bath.  Her eyes widened as she closed the heavy paneled door behind her and took in the posh powder room.  Everything was made of marble—even the ceiling.  The fixtures were spotless polished white porcelain.  On the gleaming countertop was an array of high-end toiletries—and a few brands even the hopeless shopaholic Miranda hadn’t heard of.  There was a basket of clean, folded silk-terry washcloths, and another, smaller basket full of cotton balls and cotton swabs. There was even a laundry pen for removing clothing stains, a lint brush, and a miniature fabric steamer. After some consideration, she chose a bottle of astringent and a cotton ball to strip off her ruined makeup. It worked perfectly.  It even helped exfoliate the top layer of her skin, revealing a healthy glow she’d never been able to achieve with hundreds of dollars’ worth of other cleansers.  Miranda made a mental note to pick up a bottle of the stuff next time she was at the mall.  She used the laundry pen to clean the makeup off the collar of her suit, and then applied some moisturizer to her face, dabbing some extra around her eyes in hopes it would help reduce the puffiness all her crying had caused.
Satisfied with her refreshed appearance, Miranda took a deep breath and headed back out into the tall, super-sexy-yet-anonymous man’s private office.
He was waiting for her just outside the bathroom door and when her brown eyes met his blue ones, her stomach did a flip-flop rivaling that of any Olympic diving champion.  “Oh!” she squealed as her hand jerked itself onto her belly.
“Feeling all right?” he asked.  “I have some antacid in my desk drawer if you need it.”
“No, umm, that’s OK,” Miranda replied, her voice still high-pitched and squeaky.  “I umm, I just hiccupped, is all.”  A lie.  The truth was, this man was making her feel—well—quidgy. Quidgy all over, but especially right between her legs. It was a delightful feeling, but a scary one, too.  She decided she needed to thank him, guzzle her giant espresso, and make a graceful exit before anything got out of hand.  “I, ahhhh, I really need to get back upstairs.”
“Suit yourself,” the man said.  “But you’re espresso’s getting cold.  You’re welcome to have a seat and relax for a few minutes while you finish it.”  He indicated one of the heavy leather armchairs, gesturing for her to sit.  Without thinking, Miranda did.  She noticed with surprise that there was a huge fireplace directly across from her chair.  The tall, azure-eyed man flipped a switch, and a blazing fire appeared out of nowhere.
“Gas fireplaces are the eighth wonder of the world,” he said as he sat down in the leather chair opposite her.  “Don’t you think?”
“Umm,” was all Miranda could say.  The quidgy feeling that was so delightful in the nether parts of her body had a funny way of paralyzing her from the neck up.  After much concentration, she finally got her jaw and lips to work.  “I, umm, never knew this place was here,” she stammered.
“My company has several floors of offices in this building,” the man said.  “The management gives me use of this little private hideaway as thanks for all the money I drop here in rent.  I can use it whenever I need some privacy.”  He paused, smiled.  “Or, when someone I know needs some privacy.”
“That’s nice,” Miranda said, drinking the rest of her espresso in one gulp.  The quintuple dose of caffeine hit her bloodstream like a shot of heroin.  She could almost feel her pupils dilating.
“Are you sure you’re all right?” the man asked, his turquoise eyes meeting hers.  “You seem kind of—agitated.”
“That’s because I am!” she blurted.  The caffeine was working fast—too fast.  Miranda felt her heart start racing, felt her lips forming words faster than she could think about what they might be.  “I’ve had such a bad day!  I lost eighty-seven million dollars for my clients just this morning!  I’m totally screwed!  I’m going to get fired!  I hate myself!  I’m ….”
“Whoa!” the tall man said, holding up both hands. “Slow down.  Like I said back at the coffee shop, ingesting that much caffeine in the space of two minutes isn’t good for people your size.  Or to be more specific, very attractive young women of your size.”
“Are you coming on to me?” Miranda sputtered, her mouth going a mile a minute.  “Because if you are, you should really stop.  You know why?  I’m a walking disaster area.  That’s what my last boyfriend called me when we broke up.  Plus ….”
The tall man’s blue eyes were serious.  Miranda felt them drill into her, felt them penetrate the private, sensual part of herself she’d kept carefully locked away ever since her last boyfriend—a dry-as-a-bone commodities broker named Paul--had dumped her more than four years before.  And now, the attractive-yet-mysterious man sitting across from her didn’t just penetrate that most private part of Miranda’s inner being.  He downright melted it—hell, vibrated it—with just one ice-blue glance.  “You don’t look like a walking disaster area to me,” he said.
“But I am!  Didn’t you hear what I just said?  My ex-boyfriend called me a walking disaster area, and he was right.  Because only awalking disaster area would lose eighty-seven million dollars of her clients’ money in the space of fifteen minutes.”
The tall man’s expression softened.  He loosened his green silk tie, stretched out his legs a little.  “If there’s one thing I’ve learned about the stock market in my career, miss, it’s that you can often earn money back just as fast as you lose it.  If you know how to play the game.”
The man’s acute comment caught Miranda off-guard.  “I ….”
“I bet your work has something to do with the telecom sector,” he said.  The accuracy of his guess shook Miranda to the core.  “That area’s taken quite a beating this morning, as I understand it.”
“How did you know?”  Miranda’s voice trembled, just as she felt her nether parts getting warmer and warmer.
“I have a live CNBC feed in my limo,” he explained.  “Plus, by my calculations, that’s the only market sector where it’s possible for anyone to have lost, say, eighty-seven million dollars from their fund portfolio just this morning.  Am I right?”
Miranda nodded, unable to speak.
“I bet if you can make even a portion of that money back for your clients by the end of the market day, your boss won’t be too upset with you,” he went on.  “In fact, I’m sure of it.”
“B-but I’m an analyst!” she protested.  “I’m not a broker!  I have to do weeks and weeks of research and analysis before I can recommend any stock to my clients.  I can’t day-trade!  It’s against the rules!”
“I never said you had to day-trade,” the man said, leaning in closer.  Miranda could feel the tiny stirrings in the air between them from his breathing.  Those stirrings excited her.  Excited her a littletoo much, in fact.
“Then what can I do?” she sputtered.  “The SEC regulations on what analysts can and cannot do are pretty strict, you know.”
“I’m familiar with all the SEC regulations, miss.  I did your job once myself.  What I can tell you--based upon my own past experience as an analyst—is there is quite a lot you can accomplish in a short period of time if you’re creative.”
Creative?  Miranda wasn’t creative.  Not even close.  She was a right-brained, numbers-obsessed, stock-market-loving bean counter.  That was the whole reason she had gone into finance in the first place instead of say, oil-painting.  Miranda voted Republican, checked her stock portfolio every day, and always wore gray or black pinstriped suits with pantyhose and high heels.
“Umm,” she stammered for the umpteenth time that morning.  “I’m not really--creative.  I’m more of a ….” She trailed off.  Suddenly her tongue felt too large for her mouth.
“It’s all right, miss,” the tall, azure-eyed man said, taking her right hand in his and squeezing it.  “We all have bad days in this business.  Goes with the territory.  As long as you can make up some of your losses, I’m sure you’ll be fine.”
As long as you can make up some of your losses.  He made it sound so easy.
But it wasn’t.  Anyone who’d ever invested a dime in the stock market could tell her that.  “Well, um, I guess I should really be going!” Miranda stood up, looking right and left for a wastebasket where she could toss her empty espresso cup.
“I’ll take that,” the tall man said, standing up.  He reached for the empty, and their hands touched again.  Miranda felt a bolt of lightning streak right through her body as his skin grazed hers. She’d never felt these kinds of sensations before.  Not with Paul. Not even with her old college boyfriend Bradley--the man to whom she’d given her precious virginity. Not with anyone.
The entire lower half of Miranda’s body was in flames.
Her nipples had gone rock-hard, and the space between her thighs was slick as melted butter.  Her head throbbed, and her lips, teeth, and tongue screamed for the feel of his mouth on hers.
What the hell was going on?
Miranda felt her cheeks flush.  How could this be happening?  She was a prim, proper, and very strait-laced woman.  She didn’t go throwing herself with wild abandon at total strangers--let alone total strangers she’d met while on what was supposed to be a five-minute coffee break from work.  And yet, her body was telling her that throwing herself at this nameless man with wild abandon wasexactly what she had to do, right now, just to stay alive, just to keep breathing.
Without giving the matter another thought, Miranda leaned forward and kissed the tall, generous, anonymous man’s lips.  And it wasn’t just any kiss, either.  It was a grab-his-ass, stick-her-tongue-halfway-down-his-throat kind of kiss.
It was a kind of kiss Miranda hadn’t known she was capable of giving anyone--let alone a man she’d met less than ten minutes ago, a man whose name she still didn’t know.
A man who was kissing her back with as much gusto as she was kissing him.

Scared to confirm my location, I slowly open my eyes and see a lightbulb wrapped in iron bars hanging from a large rock above my head. The light is just bright enough to illuminate a few feet on each side of where I’m lying. Feeling very vulnerable, I stand up quickly and walk toward the wall closest to me. I find that it’s cold, damp, and has an odd texture. It almost feels like this narrow, cave-like room is made up of separate rocks or boulders.
Walking back toward the hanging light, I see that there is an adjacent room just a few feet ahead. The cave is empty, so every footstep I take makes the crackling dirt below my feet sound amplified.
I cautiously walk into the next room to see four more hanging lights and that the room is spherical. The lights are evenly distributed along the walls, and they reveal something so frightening that I’m not sure whether to run away screaming or take a closer look. But with no one in sight, I decide to face my fears and walk closer to this nightmare. Lined perfectly along the walls, I see thousands of skulls and random bones that appear to be looking directly at me. Where am I? This is the most sickening thing I’ve ever seen! Have all these people been killed here? Is there some kind of monster collecting heads of the deceased and mounting them on these walls? Why am I here? Is this some kind of place of punishment?
Becoming more terrified as the seconds go by, I decide it’s best to keep moving. It’s my only hope of finding a way out of this repulsive hell. Why couldn’t I just end up on Alex’s couch? I can only assume that those stupid pills must have caused this. Searching around the room in hopes of finding another way out, I see a small hole in the ceiling with a ladder leaning up against the wall. I jiggle it around to test that it’s sturdy enough to climb. Thankfully, it’s been ground so deeply into the dirt that there’s no movement, no matter how hard I try to shake it.
As I begin to ascend, it's clear that this hole isn't getting any brighter as I had hoped. However, even knowing that there may be no light on the other end of this passageway, I’m still going to continue climbing upward, hoping to eventually reach some kind of solid ground.
After climbing for a few minutes, I think I sense that the air has become less humid, and I don’t feel as constricted. I wave my arm around to verify that are no more rocks surrounding my head, and I thankfully feel open space. I eagerly reach up for the next bar on the ladder and find that my hand grasps nothing but air. I must be at the next location.
Cautiously pulling myself up onto the higher ground, I instantly notice that I’m still surrounded by complete darkness. It’s making me feel uneasy about walking anywhere when I can’t tell if the floor I’m standing on will just disappear or turn into some type of ledge. Searching in every direction hoping to see at least a shadow, I come to a halt when I see a tiny speck of light ahead of me. I guess that’s the direction I’ll be heading in. I’m not sure if the light is at the end of a long hallway, a hole, or just my imagination, but at this point I have no other choice but to see what it is. I can only hope that it’s a way out.

That the DREAM of curing Breast Cancer becomes a reality - 20% of the proceeds from October 2013 sales will be donated to Breast Cancer Research.

Feeling dead in her marriage of more than twenty years, Elizabeth Fairchild, 42, ditches the dream of her seemingly perfect life with her husband in search of who she really is.

She had gone from her parents' house to her husband's home and never learned to stand on her own two feet. Her husband, Greg, isn't abusive or cruel, just rather neglectful. Her kids are all out of the house, off to college. Feeling that not much is left for her at home, she leaves her comfortable life in Napa Valley, California in search of her inner fire in New York City. She didn't leave to find another man but soon finds herself involved with two very different men: Jack Stevens and Kevin Parker.

Jack is older than Elizabeth by 9 years. He has heart-stopping good looks, is wildly successful and very much in control of everything around him - especially Elizabeth.

Kevin is younger, by 14 years. He is exuberant, carefree, has a heart of 24k gold, is a middle school Spanish teacher and is quite okay with Elizabeth taking the reins.

Which dream is really Elizabeth's? Her quiet life in Napa? Or her wild ways in New York?

I shuddered when I felt his lips on my ear then placing small kisses down the trail his
finger had just made. I moaned at the sweet sensation his lips caused.
Next his left hand was coming up my left arm, over my shoulder and his fingers curled
around the fabric pulling it slowly from my shoulder and he slid the fabric all the way down my arms. I heard the soft whoosh of the silk hit the floor and I waited for his hands to be on me again.
I started to turn to look at him standing behind me, but his hands were on my hips to stop me. Why wouldn’t he let me turn to see him? I wanted to see how he was feeling with this. I needed to see how I was affecting him, because I was falling apart.
“Do your panties match your bra?” he whispered into my ear, his voice choked and
Again, language having vacated my head, I could only nod. Immediately, I felt his left
hand find the trousers’ zipper on my hip and slowly pull it down, his right hand gripping almost painfully into my hip. His hands took hold of the waistband and he started to lower his body behind me, his nose running down my back. I heard him inhale and then groan as he made his way to my waist.I longed to see him crouched there behind me, but couldn’t find it in myself to turn and chance a peek. When he reached to the top of my pants, he slowly pulled the pants down to reveal the matching lace panties. I smiled quietly to myself. Where some women would have chosen a thong, that just wasn’t my style. The panties that I chose to match this bra had a full lace back. “Fffuuck! So hot,” Jack muttered behind me, and my small smile broke into a grin and I dropped my head back. Hearing that I had pleased him caused desire to pool in my panties. He inhaled deeply, his nose at my junction. “Delectable.” My knees started to wobble.
Just touch me! I wanted to scream.
He took ahold of my hand and put it on his shoulder then helped me step out of my pants, but leaving my heels securely on my feet. “These make the outfit,” he said, caressing my foot. He tossed my trousers off to the side somewhere and slowly stood. As he did, he dragged his hands up my legs, over my hips and waist. His touch was so tender it was driving me crazy. I pushed my hips back to feel him against me again. I craved his touch, my body singing for attention.

About The Author

The short story:
I'm the wife of a most fabulous man for twenty years.
I'm a mother of 2 busy teens.
I'm a dog lover.
I'm a serious drinker of coffee and wine.
I live near New York City.
My favorite place that I've visited is Monaco.
My favorite color is green (but I look best in pink/salmon).
My favorite food is chocolate.
My favorite kind of music is New Country.

The long story:
I've always been a creative sort of person... I started with my college studies in Advertising Design and Illustration. I'm good at drawing and coming up with clever ideas.
As for story telling - well, that's where I have the most fun! Ditching The Dream is my first novel, but I've been working on writing movies since, what seems like forever. Way back in high school my friend Aimee and I started writing a movie and I was hooked. We didn't know what we were doing, but we loved coming up with the story. I also like to come up with stories about people I don't know. Like the guy that cut me off on the expressway...He had quite a story - at least in my mind! Who knows? Maybe I've come up with a story about you! ;)

Ditching The Dream is a story that came to me while I was helping two author friends of mine. I was helping them with their books and I would make suggestions to amp up their stories along the way. Bev and Amy encouraged me to write my own story and Ditching The Dream was born. Is it auto-biographical? No, not in the least. But it sure has been a fun story to come up with (especially when my hubby gets involved with coming up with ideas).

Without releasing her hand, he blurted, “Are you having a good time?” He almost smacked his head. What a stupid question.
Christie’s mouth quirked then grew serious again. “Actually. I am.” Her eyes met his, their gazes locked as tightly as their hands.
“I’m glad,” he heard himself say from some disembodied place that did not come from the land of reality and logic. “Happy you came.” He pressed her hand, exhilaration shooting through him when she squeezed back.
“Me, too. It reminds me of my dancing years. I wish Tommy could have been here.”
“Trust me. He’s sorrier than all of us combined. Poor guy.” He debated asking her the question that had been in the back of his mind. “Did your brother watch you dance?”
Christie’s lids lowered for a moment. In the silence, he gave himself a swift, mental kick. He wanted to know more about her, but not cause her pain. And her pale, clammy palm proved he’d done just that. “You don’t have to answer.”
When she reopened her eyes, her lashes were wet and spiky, but her voice was steady. “Before he got too sick, he always made these insane signs to make me laugh. Like ‘Christie the Great’ or ‘Christie is the Best Sistie.’ He did it to help me get over my stage fright, but the other girls made fun of it so I begged him to stop.”
He gathered her other, trembling hand.
“Now.” Her voice dropped to a notch above a whisper. “I’d give anything to have one of those signs.”
His heart expanded, wishing he could take away her pain. He’d gotten used to heartbreak. “You must have loved him very much.”
“Not as much as he deserved,” she said beneath her breath, more to herself, it seemed, than to him. “Excuse me.” When she scooted off to the ladies’ room, he berated himself. She’d done him a huge favor in joining him tonight—more than he’d guessed now that he knew about her brother. How brave of her to come to the recital for Becca, and him, when dance held such powerful memories.
He grabbed her shawl and purse and waited by the door into the auditorium. After a couple of minutes, she joined him, her cheeks damp but no longer ashen. When the crowd clapped inside the auditorium, they opened the door, tiptoed down the aisle and found their seats.
“I’m sorry Jacqueline didn’t come,” Christie breathed in his ear, sending shivers of awareness down his spine.
He looked into her earnest face and found himself unable to lie. “I’d rather have you here.”
Christie bit her lower lip then studied her lap. “I’m glad, too,” she surprised him by saying. Her shimmering eyes lifted to his.
His tight chest eased at her soft expression. They settled back in their seats and counted down the remaining routines, the silence between them as promising as the dancers who flitted gracefully across the stage.

How could I possibly go downstairs and face Linx knowing what I knew? If he accompanied me to Northern Ireland, he was putting his life on the line for me and was that fair to ask? He was the bass player for a famous rock band and had two young sons. I couldn’t reconcile something happening to him and me being able to live with myself because I loved him so much and the thought pained me to no end. It simply wasn’t a good decision and extremely selfish on my part. Besides, I loved the man with all my heart and soul.  For the first time in my life, I was in love with someone who wasn’t family and I couldn’t stand to lose him over bullshit and to me, anything club related was always a waste of fucking time. Those goddamn MCs had taken my brother and a normal life for me. They’d cost me my family, the place I’d grown up and loved but couldn’t bear to stay. I would have been willing to have made a life in Northern Nevada if it wasn’t ruled with an iron fist by a certain criminal element that included three motorcycle gangs, the Italian Mafia, and the fucking Mexican cartel slash Motorcycle Club known as Aztecas Infierno. The three major MCs: the Lucifer’s Saints, the Demon’s Bastards and the White Knights were all fierce and brutal. Nothing about them screamed Sons of Anarchy but something deeper, darker, blacker, scarier. They were blood-thirsty human vampires who demanded blood and violence; they also returned it with more savagery and desecration than one could imagine. There was nothing sexy or romantic about the MCs where I came from and any woman crazy enough to fall in love with a biker from any of those crews was in for a lifetime of pain and hurt, death and destruction, suffering and misery piled upon one another day after day, week after week until it stretched into months, years, decades and a life considered normal was the life of an old lady—if a woman was lucky. There was also the fate of being a Demon scrubber, a Saint Slut or Knight knob-rider—all code words for sweet butts or club sluts, whichever one preferred. I wasn’t built to be either and had escaped as far away as I could to Los Angeles where my cousin was the lead singer of the very successful Winter’s Regret but I never truly left if I thought about it.

No Going Back (Timing is Everything #2)

Life isn’t always about fairytales and happily ever-after’s according to Seth Jordan. After having his world shattered and heartbroken beyond repair, he had always sworn off the idea of love. He was perfectly content with continuing his life with worthless one night stands and no strings attached sex. That was until one blue-eyed blonde managed to seep into places he thought were cemented shut.

Like a jack hammer, Mallory Prentice came into Seth’s life and cracked the hard exterior that surrounded his heart. She’s the one woman he was starting to feel might be worth taking a chance on.

But life doesn't always hand you the easy road. Sometimes you are constantly hit with the bad and have no hope of any good ever showing up.

Will Seth and Mallory realize that ultimately they are the ones who are in control of their life’s outcome? Will they embrace the future and fight for their own happiness, or will they keep lingering in past mistakes and let it keep them apart?

Life is all about forgiveness and second chances. Once you come to that conclusion and just go for it, there is…no going back.

In the End (Timing is Everything #3)

*Novella-Prequel to Moving Forward*

Jake Reynolds’ life had always been perfectly mapped out for him as he was growing up. The only time he ever felt like he had any control over it was when he was inside the cage—the same cage that held no for sure outcome. In his twisted mind being inside that ring with his opponent was the most freeing feeling. In that moment alone he was able to let his perfected guard down and be who he wanted to be.

From the outside looking in, everything about Jake’s life looked perfect, but he knew that he wasn’t. His whole life had been set up for him before he was even born, and even though it’s not the life he wanted, he continued living it.

When you have everything you could ever want at your fingertips, why screw it up?
That was his mindset until the night Jesika showed up at his fight. He knew she was different from the get-go. He also knew he didn’t deserve her, but that didn’t mean he didn’t want to try. Jake had skills inside and out of the cage and he was known to always get what he wanted no matter the risk. But was he willing to change who he had always been in order to keep the one that he thought was worth the fight? Will it all be worth it in the end?

Will Jenny make it to her own fairytale wedding...

All will be revealed in "Veiled"

Come join us at L Chapman's Veiled release day party all day today

Lot's off things to win.

I can’t believe it is only a month away from my big day. I score a line through today’s date on the personalised calendar I received from my friend Megan. She designed the keepsake in my colour scheme of white, black and pink and personalized it with pictures of Rich and me. It is a ‘me’ gift that Megan knew I would love. It is something only she would buy since she loves giving people personalised keepsakes. She knows me so well. The calendar is used solely for the wedding, and it has all my appointments written on it.
I only have fifteen days off from my full-time job as a nurse before the wedding.   Due to the fact I’m organised, every one of those days has plans. I just can’t wait. I’m finally going to have the fairytale wedding I have always wanted. I have dreamed of this special day since I was a child. When I was little, I received a book for my dream wedding, and I used to cut out little pictures of items that I wanted and wished for. We are getting married in a church, a big old-fashioned church followed by a reception in a castle. A real castle. A big do, like what I have always imagined. It’s supposed to be our day and I want us to be the centre of attention. I think Rich would be happy just getting married in a registry office with two strangers as witnesses. He is only going along with the big wedding for my sake. As soon as I began working as a paper girl at thirteen, I started saving for my dream day. Even though it is considered tradition, I didn’t want to rely on my parents to pay for everything. I want it to be perfect with my own personal touch since I plan to marry only one time.
My mum and dad met when they were eighteen and have been together for twenty-nine years. They have three children, Samantha, my older pain in the arse sister, Martin, my baby brother, and me. Martin passed away three days after he turned six. He accidentally ran out in front of a car to get his ball. Just thinking of him makes me tear up. My only brother killed because of a ball.
Thankfully, the doctors say he died straight away so he wasn’t aware of what was happening. But I’m aware.  I remember it all too well and now wish we had not been there. It was my fault; I wanted to play at the park that day. If I had not asked to go, he would never have been there. He would still be alive. I saw everything, but wish I hadn’t. I remember the car— the colour, make, model.Everything about that day.  It was like watching a film when everything happens in slow motion. Mum ran after Martin to stop him, but she couldn’t get there in time. Understandably, she’s never gotten over losing him. She was diagnosed with severe depression and admitted to the hospital after his death. Martin was a very bright lad with a heart of gold, he loved football, and he wanted to be a science teacher when he grew up. I wish he could be here to help me on my big day and to be one of Rich’s ushers.

My older sister is the complete opposite of me. Samantha has a very kind heart, but she can be a pain at times.  She will help you do anything as long as it’s done her way and convenient for her. The only feature we share is eye colour that changes to a darker colour when we get angry. Samantha has shoulder-length brown hair while I have blonde hair. Even with only two years separating us, she looks nothing like me. If one more person tells me we look alike, I will cry. We are two different people.

Author Bio

Just a book reading, writing loving, mommy and USMC wife! :)
I love to write, even if it isn't what is conventional and makes everyone feel giddy inside. I usually pull from dreams, or ideas that just thrust themselves into my head. I have what some would describe as a dry sense of humor, and I think its conveyed in my writing. I like to think I am a kick ass chick, but I can also be sensitive.

I'm learning to grow thick skin, and in this field, it is definitely needed!

I won't put anything out that I am not absolutely proud of, but like E.L. James said, "I can't own people's reactions to it." Thanks for reading my work... I do appreciate it!

Excerpt (I Remember You)

Samantha pulled up to the pump at the gas station and got out. As she watched the numbers on the pump, her mind started to wander. She sighed and crossed her arms as she thought about a few weeks ago when she’d broke up with Jeff, the guy she’d been seeing for about a year. What’s wrong with me? Jeff was a good guy. He was good looking and a successful lawyer. He treated her like a queen. Most girls would kill to date a guy like him. She didn’t feel anything with him – no passion or excitement.
The pump clicked as it stopped and Samantha put the gas cover back on. She’d forgotten her bottle of water for yoga class, so she ran inside the gas station to get one. She didn’t want to be late for class and not get a decent spot, so she trotted inside and grabbed the first bottle she saw from the cooler. She took it to the counter and paid. As she turned to leave, she ran right into someone else approaching the counter and dropped her water on the floor.
“I’m sorry!” She bent down to get her water as the person she ran into did too.
“Hello Samantha.” A deep voice filled her ears as the stranger handed her the water. Her heart started pounding. Could it be? She looked up quickly. It was Lance!
“Hey Lance. What’re you doing here?” She asked nervously. She was surprised to see her old boyfriend at this gas station, let alone in town. He was a successful rock star now and she knew he lived in LA. She tried to casually look him over. He’d filled out some since they’d been together. His shaggy blonde hair was cut shorter now and he looked older, more mature. She had to admit he looked good. Time had been very kind to him.
“I had some business to take care of here for Mom,” he replied.
She smiled. Always such a mama’s boy. “How is she?” Samantha had always liked his mom. She’d always told Lance to treat her better and that the two of them were going to get married some day. Boy did she get that wrong!
“She’s good. How are you?” He looked down at her with those piercing gray eyes. For a second she wanted to wrap her arms around him like old times. She’d never forgotten what his hugs had been like.
“I’m good. Busy writing. My first novel comes out in about a month.” She looked down at her shoes nervously, shaking the thought of his arms around her from her mind.
“That’s great, Sam,” he said with a smile. “I know how much you always loved to write. Congrats.”
She wasn’t sure why his words of approval made her feel so good. She glanced at her phone. She was going to be late for class if she didn’t leave soon. “I actually was headed to yoga class so I should probably get going.” She looked back up at him. “It was good seeing you,” she said softly.
He smiled at her, the corners of his eyes crinkling in the way she’d always loved. “It was really good seeing you too. Take care.”
She clutched her phone and water and headed out of the gas station, her heart pounding hard in her ears. Samantha took a shaky breath as she got into her car. Trying to get her bearings, she sat for a minute before starting it. She couldn’t believe she saw Lance after all of these years. She didn’t think she’d ever see him again here in town.
Samantha started her car and headed off to class. She was looking forward to yoga. Maybe it would clear the mess in her brain that seeing Lance had created.

Excerpt (Home Sweet Home)

Later that night, Samantha was in the bathroom getting ready for bed while Lance was performing his nightly ritual of checking on Emma before coming to bed. She was going to miss these little routines their family had.
She glanced at herself in the mirror. She’d managed to slip on the sheer, lacy black teddy Lance had bought her in Vegas when they got married. He had a thing for lingerie despite the fact he couldn’t keep it on her for longer than a few minutes. Tonight would probably be no exception.
She turned off the bathroom light and climbed onto their king size bed to wait for him. They had designed their bedroom to be a sanctuary, a place to relax after long months on the road or in LA while he was recording. There was a fireplace and a small sitting area and Lance had to have a big screen TV. There were times when they would get home from LA and they’d spend days in this room. She loved it, but it would be empty without Lance.
“Must’ve worn her out at the park today; she’s out cold,” Lance said as he walked into the room. He shut the door behind him and his eyes widened when he saw her. “Holy shit, Sam. What are you trying to do to me?”
A shiver went down her spine; the teddy had its desired effect. Lust and desire were written all over Lance’s face. “Oh nothing, just getting ready for bed,” she stated nonchalantly.
“What-the-fuck-ever, woman,” he mumbled, pulling his t-shirt over his head and tossing it across the room. He undid his belt and had his jeans and boxers off in record time. He hopped onto the bed by her and pulled her under him. His erection was hard against her thigh. That didn’t take long.
“You know I love that thing on you,” he growled into her ear. “And I’ve been semi-hard since earlier this afternoon. I’m not going to play around right now, Sam. I need to be inside you.”
His words sent a spark of desire straight to her womb. She reached up and cupped his face in her hands, looking deep into his blue eyes. “Then take me, Lance. Make love to me,” she whispered. She didn’t need foreplay tonight either; she needed to feel him inside her. She needed to be close to him tonight.
He made a sound deep in his throat and kept his eyes on hers as he thrust inside her. She moaned softly and arched beneath him, savoring the feel of him filling her. She wrapped her legs around him and ran her nails down his back.
They made love the rest of the night, dozing on and off in between sessions. They touched and kissed each other all over, sometimes taking their time, sometimes with a sense of urgency.

About the Author:

I've had a passion for writing since the age of 8 when I wrote her first short story. During my sophomore year in high school, I wrote her first full-length novel, a science fiction romance. I wrote my second novel during my senior year, a fantasy romance. Needless to say, English and Creative Writing were always my favorite subjects. Yes, I'm a total grammar geek! In between caring for six children, (7 counting my husband) I manage to carve out time to indulge in my writing obsession, with varying degrees of success, although I write most often late at night instead of sleeping. And yes, all of my heroes are patterned after my husband of 21 years, who continues to prove that there really is a happily ever after.

He danced her over to the corner of the banquet hall and opened the double terrace doors, which led to a marble balcony. He led her to a far corner of the long terrace that was shrouded in darkness from the cloudy night. A strong breeze on the air hinted of a storm.

Yes, Isabella thought, feeling his hand on her bare lower back, a tempest called Lyon Sauvage.

He stood behind her, so close their bodies pressed together, and removed the ornate comb from her hair. Grabbing the thick plaits, he pulled her toward him. "You smell like sex and your dress is driving me mad. Have you ever made love in a public place?" he rasped. "Have you ever ached to be touched so close to people unaware you were on fire, so hot, you burned to be fulfilled, to be fucked? Does the fact you're not wearing underwear excite you?"

She shook her head then gasped softly as he began to lift her dress from the front, sliding his warm palm over her thigh. He traced a lone finger along the crease of her pussy, and Isabella opened for him. Frozen by his touch, she felt something in his hand, round, smooth, and cool, and larger than a marble, pressing against her.

"Just relax." He licked her lobe, one arm around her waist, the other holding the cylindrical ball. "Open your legs."

She tilted her head back to his shoulder, heart pounding wildly. Her nipples ached and throbbed so deeply, a simple touch from him would push her over the edge.

Any minute someone could walk out on the terrace and discover them, but strangely, she didn't care. Nothing could have stopped her from refusing him. She loved the sound of his damaged voice as he slid the ball into her pussy.

"They are called Ben-Wa balls and are meant for pleasure. Now tighten up your sweet walls so they won't fall out. The tighter you clench, the stronger the pleasure when you move, I promise."

He was right. Waves of hot sensation filled her as he slid a second cool cylinder inside her. My God, they were in a public place, a roomful of people just yards away. She tensed her inner core to hold the spheres in place. Her pussy quaked with arousal with every move and a strange pleasure saturated and swelled her vaginal walls with fire.
