Blog Tour ~ Remember Love (The Forever Love Series #1) by Riley Rhea

They say you can never go home again. Brenna James is about to finish her final year of college when a visit home could change everything. Fate was pushing her towards her childhood best friend, Tucker, leaving Brenna no other option than to remember memories from a time once forgotten.

Can Tucker slip himself into her heart?

Will he be able to show her his feelings?

The biggest question is, can Tucker help Brenna remember love?

The book has sexual situations and language intended for ages 18 & up.

Riley Rhea is your typical country girl, born and raised in the Bluegrass. In the last 30 something years, she has successfully brought into this world 3 children, which may or not be claimed by her, depending on their behavior.
Riley enjoys reading, spending time on the farm and quiet afternoons when those who call her mom leave the house. Riley also loves country music and drools over Luke Bryan. Riley’s biggest fears are crickets and banks.
Not just an avid reader, Riley is an active blogger and reviews many books during the span of a week when she isn’t writing about her loveable and sexy country boys.
She’s always had a background in writing, her mother being an author, and one day, out of the blue, 2 characters popped into her head and wouldn’t shut up. After some advice from a good friend, Remember Love was born.
Thank you all for taking time to get to know Riley a little better. You can always find her on Facebook if y’all want to chat a little more.

Jen's Guest Review ~ Reality by Dani Hart

Title: Reality (The Life of Arie #1)
Author: Dani Hart
Genre: Paranormal Urban Fantasy YA
Release Date: September 23, 2013

I am Arie Belle and up until my mother’s unexpected and mysterious death my life had been pretty simple, but then things became dark and, at times, hopeless. Even my uncanny ability to communicate with nature had turned its back on me. My only saving grace is my lifetime friendship with the boy next door, River, whom I had always thought of as my soul mate up until my eighteenth birthday when everything seemed to change. My body tingles with heightened sensations and my emotions veer out of control. They are further tested when Ashe, a beautiful stranger with a powerful draw, enters my life and challenges my heart and soul. Amidst the rush of feelings after years of numbness, my true destiny slowly unravels and my journey to find out what I am, to find my mother’s killer, and stop my own death becomes a frantic rush before the next full moon.

This powerful story encaptures the true meaning of love and the dark corners of life that can either suck you in or save you.

I'm going to start with what I found difficult about this book first. It took me a bit to get into the book. To me, it felt like it kind of dragged on and at time is was difficult to keep reading. There was A LOT of build up, but the main thing that kept me turning to the next page was that I had to find out what Arie WAS. That being said, the author did an amazing job describing the different realities, and overall capturing the essence of the animals and nature. It was beautiful.

Poor Arie has lost her mom at the age of 16. Her mom was her rock, everything to her. When she passes, Arie is lost and feels alone. She has River,  her best friend and the boy that she has been in love with since she was 7 years old, but after her moms death, Arie begins to push him away. She doesn't know why or how and this bothers her deeply.

Once Arie turns 18, strange things, stranger than normal anyway, begin to happen more frequently. It's very hard to describe this book, without giving away too much. There's no oh, I'm an angel, that's a demon, there's a werewolf, etc. moment, but you know that Arie is super important and very special. But she is an essence, a spirit of sorts. She begins a hunt to find out what really happened to her mother and what is happening to her now. Arie has a lot of feeling so hurt and anger that her mother did not let her know what she is, and she has to come to terms with how the things that are happening to her now are affecting her friends and the ones that she loves now.

She is torn over the feelings of her long term friend, River, and the new mysterious guy, Ashe. She feels a connection to both and doesn't know what to make of it.

There really is a lot going on in this book, too much to go into more detail without giving it all away. This book is truly one of a kind, and even though it was difficult to get through at times, I really did enjoy it and would encourage you to keep with it because it will be worth it in the end.

Jen gives Reality 4 Stars!

“I saw River staring at me as I watched the butterflies. I turned to him and got caught within the depths of his eyes. His stare bore deep into my soul. We sat like that for what seemed an eternity. My body burned from the inside out. My heart raced. My ind was anticipating what my body wanted. I couldn't think. All I could do was stare into his eyes, begging for him to feel the same way. The butterflies continued to circle around us, but they seemed to be fluttering faster as if they were anticipating the
moment too. Right at the moment I thought my body was going to explode if something didn't happen, he took his hand and grazed the side of my face. His touch sent electric shocks through my cheek and down my body. His hand followed my jaw line and his thumb outlined my lips on its way to my neck. He gripped the back of my neck gently and leaned into me as he pulled my face toward his. He paused and looked into my eyes as if waiting for me to say no. I didn't think I could wait any longer for this moment to happen. My heart was pounding so hard I felt like I could barely breathe. The eternal pause ended and his lips brushed mine. I thought I was going to pass out as I inhaled him. How could one moment be so intense! He brushed his lips against mine for a few moments as if, again, waiting for me to protest. I couldn't handle it anymore. I pressed my lips against his and he responded back. I felt like that kissed lasted for hours. It was so soft and slow and perfect.” ~Reality

My passion for writing started at a very young age. It started with a multitude of diaries as soon as I could write well, then poetry, then short stories. I received my BA at USC in Theatre with an unofficial minor in writing. While at USC I wrote my first screenplay and post-graduation I was hired to write another screenplay, which I did successfully. I have since started several books, but have never had the courage or time to finish them. I missed it, but I was discouraged from my years in the industry and I was scared to go back, so I had convinced myself I was too busy and it would be a waste of time. Then I started reading again which reignited my passion for writing. I started writing a story that had been brewing inside of me over the years. The characters were slowly developing and itching to break out onto paper, so in the summer of 2011 I wrote the first two chapters. Life got busy again and my passion was pushed aside, but then I met an amazing person who loved my story and encouraged me to start writing again. With that said, I am in a happier place now. I am fulfilling my inner desire and passion to write while raising a family and living life. Thank you so much for your support! And I hope to keep the stories coming!!!

Review ~ Beholden to You by Carlie Sexton

~*~*Full length stand alone~ Killer Next Door series spin off*~*~

On the heels of tragic loss, the stunning and innocent Natalie Mason, meets handsome business mogul Mac Carter. As Natalie attempts to pick up the pieces of her shattered life, circumstances beyond her control draw her and Mac into a situation she wants kept secret. The two are a matched set having both experienced immense loss in their lives. Uncertain of what she should do, she decides to give fate a chance, opening her heart to Mac, who just wants to love her.

But the past, who often times takes no prisoners, rears its ugly head in a double dose. Mac’s ex-girlfriend cannot accept that their love affair is over and takes drastic measures through deception and blackmail to ensure that Mac will be hers.

Natalie, on the other hand, has to face the one responsible for her sister’s death. As her journey begins to bring justice and closure, the past transports to her feet an unexpected surprise—a long lost love desiring to posses her as his once again.

Will Mac and Natalie’s newly blossoming love be able to endure what the past has delivered or will the victors of their hearts be the old flames who are staking their claim?

Once again, Carlie has kept me on my toes and absolutely mad me fall for her characters. I LOVE MAC CARTER!! He pulls out all stops to win Natalie after their morning of “uh oh what did we do?” Yes, Vegas brought some surprises.

Natalie hasn’t had an easy life. First she lost her mother and then her father. She changed her life plans to finish raising her sister, Jessica, who is also taken from her by a tragic event. Natalie has issues with letting people get to close to her and tends to put others before her. She is a breath of fresh air. Even when she could’ve run or been a witch she wasn’t. She is all goodness and I loved her in all the books and this one mad me love her more!

Mac has known his fair share of loss as well. He has also had his share of women only wanting him for what he could give them. None actually caring about the man himself. AND OH WHAT A MAN HE IS!! From the moment he takes Natalie in his arms on Thanksgiving he knows she’s it for him. The question is can he prove that to her?

Of course, there is crazy people and drama. I mean come on this is Carlie Sexton after all. Every book I have read of hers had kept me flipping pages as quick as I can and throughly entertained. Between the heartfelt moments to the hot and steamy one to the OMG no she didn’t. I am always in love with her work! I’m ready for the next book please!!

Beholden to You gets 5 HUGE STARS!!!

She uses personal experiences with baking and life in general to inspire her work. As a unique touch to each of the books in her first series, she has chosen to include personal recipes to give it a personal touch.

Isabella is active on social media sites Facebook, Twitter, GoodreadsPinterest.

 ♥ Author Interview
What was your inspiration for the Atlanta Affair series?
Isabella: Well, I live just south of Atlanta, so for me, that was an obvious setting. Honestly my characters were the inspiration. All three main friends (Victoria, Sage, and Nick) are all inspired by people in my life. I created all the characters first and then let them create the stories.
What is your writing inspiration?
Isabella: I guess you could say that my daughters are the reason I write. I’m trying to make a better life for them. As far as for the books themselves I use personalities I encounter as well as fantasies to inspire me.
How did you become a writer?
Isabella: I actually started writing in High School. Over the years I started several different stories, but always put them down and forgot about them. I thought I would never be able to get them published so I didn’t make them a priority. Recently I saw that Harper Sloan had released Axel. I went to high school with Harper and seeing her with a book out, inspired me to try again. She actually helped me a lot during this whole process.
What words of wisdom would you give to those wanting to get into writing or just starting out?
Isabella: Don’t be afraid to ask for help. The indie author community is amazingly supportive. I still have so much to learn, but they are all so willing to help. I’m proud to be included in such an amazing group of people.
Who is your favorite character from your book?
Isabella: I honestly don’t know if I can answer that. I like all of them for different things. I love that Leland is willing to do what’s necessary to get what he wants. I love that Victoria is so self-aware. I really enjoy the friendship between Victoria and Sage, they fit together so well.
Who is your favorite author?
Isabella: That’s a three way tie between Janet Evanovich, Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb, and Iris Johansen
Do you have a genre that you want to get into next?
Isabella: I’m pretty happy with the genre I am in now, but if I ever ventured into another one it would have to romantic suspense.
Do you plan to start a new book or series (anything outside of your current work)?
Isabella: Of course I plane to write more after my Atlanta Affair Series, but right now I am focused on “A Wedding Affair” the third book in my series, which will be Nick and Piper’s story. There will be a total of five books in the series.
What is your favorite color?
Isabella: Turquoise
What is your favorite food?
Isabella: Potaotes
What would you die without?
 Isabella: My daughters
What is your favorite city you like to visit?
Isabella: Out of the places I have been, probably New York
What place do you dream to visit?
Isabella: Ireland, I traced my family back to County Donegal Ireland and would love to go there.
What do you do outside of writing?
Isabella: I am a single mom, a server, and a baker.
What are you currently working on?
Isabella: “A Wedding Affair” and plans for an untitled stand alone novel.
What’s your favorite book?
Isabella: Wow, I don’t have an answer for this one. My favorite book always changes. I would say that whenever the new Janet Evanovich book comes out, I buy it!
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Isabella: In 10 years I hope to be writing still without having to worry about working a day job. I know most indie authors don’t get that luxury, but I can dream!
What is your favorite guilty pleasure?
Isabella: Probably reality tv, I can’t get enough of the drama. I hate drama in my own life, but give me the Real World/ Road Rules Challenge and I’m hooked.
What is one thing that no one really knows about you?
Isabella: That I am still technically married. We’ve been separated for 3 years, and still trying to get the divorce.
What’s the best piece of advice you have been given?
Isabella: “just be sure to realize you're dealing with men. Remember to think what would a man say or do in this situation, because me react and think very differently from women” from Ella Frank on writing my first m/m novel.

Logan Kalford was Wren Summers’ dream come true.
All I’d ever wanted was to fall in love and be loved in return.
Logan stole my heart when I least expected it. He was sexy, adventurous, and the way he played guitar left me weak in the knees. He made me happy. He made me think I’d found the one. And he made me believe in happy endings.
I knew he was my forever. I thought he knew it too.
I was wrong.
He destroyed everything I thought we had and shattered my dreams of us. He left me heartbroken. He made me doubt myself.
And he didn’t even seem to care…
Now I must let go. But how can I when he still consumes me?
How do you walk away from what you know was real?

*** GIVEAWAY ***

I was really enjoying this book and thought it was progressing nicely. I understood why Wren was holding herself back from Logan and really liked his persistence. But I knew something was going to happen, it was all happening too soon, I kept on reading wondering if Wren’s fears were going to come true. Then right when things start heating up the author slams the door right in your face and it’s the next day. The sex was earth shattering according to Wren. This was a huge disappointment to me, not because the author chose not to include an explicit scene there was NOTHING. No emotion, no thoughts, nada. Just the next day. This dropped this book in rating for me. Yet I trucked on because I wanted to know what happened and thought just maybe she wasn’t ready to express that part yet.

Then this incredibly hot guy I was really liking turned into a weak man and I couldn’t understand why Wren was holding on and running to him every time he called. Especially when she had another hottie right there picking her up when she fell. My heart broke for Zachary because he was losing to someone who didn’t deserve the love and devotion Wren was giving him.

When things happen and Logan opens his eyes and decided to man up I kind of saw his point, but I still felt he was weak. The best part of this book was the epilogue that was when I really felt their connection again and it saved the book for me. It wasn’t that it was a bad book there was so much potential here to be a terrific read and I really felt let down.

button31 (1) image I don't do 'normal'. I've found that the more I write, the more I like being different to other authors. I write in first person, and I love to challenge a reader. I take the normal and switch it around. For me, I really enjoy getting a reaction from a reader. So if I can evoke an emotion (regardless of if it's the emotion the reader wants) then I figure that I've done my job as an author I want to be. I really quite revel in taking people out of their comfort zones and pushing them to read something different. My genre of writing is, well quite frankly, where ever my mind goes. I won't label myself because I don't like sticking to one genre. My goal with writing is just to take people away from whatever is going on in their lives, even if it's only for a split second. I'm a go with the flow sort of person and don't really take a course of action to get where I am going. I live in the moment and don't usually worry about tomorrow because whatever life is due to bring me, I'll be happy to accept. I love my family and friends and will help anyway I can if someone needs it. I really don't like people that are nasty just because they can be, I don't believe that's necessary, I mean life's hard enough as it is! I hope you enjoy my books, I've had a hoot writing them. There's more to come..... Til next time. M xx
