Feisty Girls 5 STAR Reviews!!

~~~Meli’s Review~~~
First off I’m a sucker for the true love stories. Jace and Alexa didn’t really have a love story at the beginning but what they did have lead up to an amazing love that carried them through a decade of life without each other.
Life of love, heartache and regret.
Alexa was always in love with her best friend Jace. It wasn’t until his high school graduation night that Jace let her know he was feeling the same to. Alexa couldn’t believe after all this time of her loving him that he wanted her to. The only thing was Jace was leaving for the Army the next day. They spent one pretty much perfect night together after Alexa had to tackle him. The next day Jace left for boot camp and Alexa was lost beyond belief. Her and her family had to move away for her father’s new job and Alexa never saw her one true love again and always wondered why he broke his promise to come back to her. Or so she thought.
Jace enlisted in the Army and as soon as he was finished with boot camp came back for Lexi, but what he found was an empty house and no leads on where is love went. He went back to base and started his new life.
Flash forward 10 years. Lexi lost her husband a little over a year ago and she hasn’t been able to move on. She gets an invite from her sister to go to the 10 year reunion as the nanny for her niece. Little did she know that her sister had other plans. Plans that would lead to Jace and Alexa meeting back up. When she gets a phone call from her long lost love she does the only thing she thinks of and hangs up on him. She’s not ready to go that route just yet. Over the next few months Lexi starts to become back to her old self again and is looking forward to what may come.
When Alexa and Jace reconnect, oh man, just reading them seeing each other for the first time was hot. Their chemistry and love for one another was amazing. Over the course of the weekend they reconnect and once again Lexi is finding everything hard to take in. She feels like she should still be grieving but instead she is finally comfortable and happy being with Jace.
Throughout Jace and Alexa’s journey I felt everything she did. Her torment of falling in love with a soldier after already losing the one she loved. And I felt his love and devotion to her. No matter how much he wanted her to say the words I LOVE YOU he never pushed and never gave up.
When Lexi finally realizes what a idiot she has been with not confessing her love to Jace, will it all be too late?
Jace and Alexa’s story is about a second chance love and through thick and thin everything they have to do to get back to where their hearts belong, which each other.
"You were it for me. My homerun. My grand slam. My perfect game. I've never, I will never, ever want anyone but you."  ~Jace
I can not wait to hopefully hear just a little more on how this couple is doing in book 2 when we get Knox’s story. Until then….
~~~~Joni’s Review~~~~

Okay so I’m taking the easy way out here and say I second every single thing Meli said. This book was AMAZING and I loved every single part. Not only did I love the story of Jace and Alexa I loved the secondary characters as well, especially Ava. Between Sierra & Ava I was laughing so hard at parts I bought peed. Yep, not ashamed to admit that. Oh and a drunk Alexa. OMG I will never think of Star Wars the same again.

One of my top favorite types of books to read are second chance romance. Getting the back story of these two from their last night together and then getting to see them reconnect all those years later was simply beautiful. I love Jace he is definitely book boyfriend material. I really hope this isn’t the last we see of these characters.

I cannot wait to read Knox’s story and see what kind of woman it takes to change his jaded thoughts.

I also give Ignite 5 AMAZING STARS!!!

Jace has me pressed up against the side of his car, his hands cupping both sides of my face. Looking into my eyes, he leans in, stopping just inches from my lips. I think he’s about to kiss me when he speaks instead.
            “I told you I’d come back.”
            A smile breaks out on my face when he closes the space between us, pressing his lips against mine. His kiss is soft and slow to begin with, but I’ve been aching for his touch for weeks, so I slide my hands up his t shirt, letting out a soft moan when I make contact with his skin. At the sound, his kiss hardens, and his tongue is against my lips, begging for entrance. They part immediately, allowing his tongue to collide with mine and our kisses turn frantic as we try to make up for lost time. His hands move to the small of my back before he slips them under my shirt and he traces small circles over my skin, causing me to shiver. My hands move over his taut abs as I make my way up his muscular chest. My thumb grazes his nipple, and he groans, breaking our kiss.
            “Fuck, I’ve missed you,” he says in a husky voice, wrapping his arms around me in a tight embrace. My head leans against his hard chest, where I can hear his heart pounding. Smiling silently to myself, I’m secretly thankful that he still seems to be as affected by me as I am by him.

About the Author

      I'm a twenty six year old book junkie who is also obsessed with sports. Bengals, Buckeyes, Reds are my teams! I work for the government during the day, hang out with Air National Guard on the weekends, and am married to a guy 15 inches taller than me. We're quite the pair! We currently live right outside of Dayton, OH with our two cats.

      I've been reading since I was a kid. My mom was a librarian, so it was a given. Heck, she even made sure we watched Wishbone instead of the Smurfs. In 2011 when I graduated from college, my mom bought me a Nook, and then in the summer of 2012 I found this amazing site called Goodreads. I was introduced to so many amazing indie/self-published authors. After reading almost 400 books that year, my husband gave me the push to finally sit down and write my own. It was a rocky start, but over time the words started flowing and I couldn't get Jace and Lexi out of my head.

      If I’m not writing or looking through tons of photos of hot men, all in the name of research, then you can probably find me curled up with my Kindle, ignoring the rest of the world. I love my sports almost as much as I love my books. My other obsessions include red wine, hot men, country music, and all things Grace Potter.
