Unexpected Angel by Sloan Johnson ~Joni's Review~

Tasha Skinner finally shed the baggage of a failed marriage. Now, she’s looking forward to a night of margaritas and man-bashing. Tasha’s friends have other plans, including Leather, Lace and liberation.

Dylan Caprese didn’t want to go to Marquee, but he and his friends were on a mission. They took it upon themselves to make sure things didn’t get out of hand when wannabe Doms mixed alcohol with playtime at the monthly Leather and Lace night.

From the moment he set eyes on Tasha, he knew there was something different about her. She wasn’t some bondage babe who thought she knew what it meant to be into BDSM. She was much, much worse; she was innocent and trusting. He can tell she is something precious.

When Tasha’s past threatens to destroy her, Dylan begins to realize that while their paths have never crossed, their lives most definitely have. Will he be able to save her before it’s too late?

~ Joni’s Review ~
I’m going to try to do this review without spoilers this is one of those books you don’t want spoiled.

From the first chapter I was hooked into this story.

By the second chapter I knew I was going to love Dylan.

Tasha is free for the first time since high school and is ready to find herself again after her failed marriage. Her best friend Holly arranges a divorce party for her at a club unlike any other club Tasha has ever been to. She meets Dylan that night and from there her life slowly begins to become her own again.

As the book progresses you learn more and more about what happened during the years of her marriage. I loved the way Dylan was with Tasha from the go. No matter how much she said she wasn’t his and never would be he went out of his way to show her she was. He healed her slowly over time and made sure he built trust between them.

When the past starts creeping in and people you have always trusted begin to betray you who do you trust?

The man you are falling in love with or the person you’ve known your entire life?

I really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put it down at times. I loved Dylan and Zeke from the go. I understood Tasha. I want to know more about Tommy and even Holly all though I didn’t like her for most of the book. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series!!
